Use this when…
Use this guide when you want to understand what needs attention today without opening every section of TuitionFlow. The dashboard is designed as an operations triage screen: it points you towards records and workflows that need review.
Before you start…
You need admin access and a workspace with real sessions, families, tutors, invoices, and compliance records. The dashboard becomes more useful as your team records attendance, publishes reports, sends invoices, tracks leads, and keeps tutor checks up to date.
What the dashboard is for
The dashboard gives you a fast read on your tuition business. It is not intended to replace detailed section pages. Use it to spot what is due, overdue, missing, or changing, then follow the link into the right workflow.
Check upcoming teaching activity
Start with sessions and teaching activity. Look for lessons happening today, sessions that need attendance, and lesson reports that need writing or review. If your team works from the dashboard each morning, it can reduce missed admin because the most time-sensitive work is visible before the day begins.
Review billing signals
Billing cards and shortcuts help you see unpaid invoices, aged debt, recent payments, and payout-related work. If something looks wrong, open Billing rather than trying to resolve it from the dashboard. The Billing section gives you the full invoice, payment, credit, and payout context.
Watch compliance and safeguarding reminders
Compliance indicators help you catch expiring checks, missing consent, document gaps, GDPR tasks, and other risk items. Treat these as prompts for review. Sensitive welfare or safeguarding details should be handled in the dedicated compliance or safeguarding areas, where permissions and context are clearer.
Track growth and follow-up
If your plan includes leads or reviews, the dashboard can help you notice new enquiries, trial activity, and review opportunities. Follow up quickly: growth tasks lose value when they sit unnoticed for several days.
Use shortcuts deliberately
Dashboard shortcuts are useful when you already know what task you want to complete. If you are investigating a discrepancy, open the full section page instead so you can use filters, search, and record detail.
Common mistakes
Treating dashboard counts as a full report. Use Reports for analysis and exports.
Ignoring filters or date ranges on the destination page after clicking through.
Assuming an empty card means no work exists. It may mean there is no matching work for the current period or plan.
Leaving attendance or reports incomplete, then wondering why billing and parent communication do not line up.
Troubleshooting
If a dashboard count looks wrong, refresh the page and check the destination section with filters cleared. If a feature redirects to billing, your organisation may need a plan upgrade. If recently changed records do not appear immediately, check whether the workflow requires a save, publish, approval, or webhook event before it is counted.
Expected outcome
Used well, the dashboard gives admins a daily routine: check teaching, check money, check compliance, check follow-ups, then open the relevant section to complete the work.
